The Elegy of the Fingerless Pony

An alternate title for this image was "Twang Twong".

So, in that cover art image I made for my buddy, Clavier. I drew the room inside the window without really thinking about the bars that I was going to add in afterward. Once I drew them in however, I noticed that poor ol' Lyra's face was hidden and that miffed me.

As you can see, that led me to drawing this. I asked somebody else before to draw me a Lyra image wherein which she was depressed for her lack of fingers which is appropriate considering that her special talent involves the lyre in some way, shape, or form. Well, they never got around to drawing it so I decided to just get off my lazy bum and make it myself.

Add in a couple of fancy shmancy outlining effects and a halftone'd gradient then VOILA! The image looks artsy fartsy, I slap it on deviantART, and I call it a day.

Yeah, contrary to popular belief, my talent is based on a system of lies, snacks, and gratuitous amounts of iced tea.

EDIT: You know that feeling when you upload an image and you realize that you forgot to color in one part of it? Yeah, I just had that feeling. The image is fixed now.
